Born in Burgas, Bulgaria, Yavor Velchev (Yavor) came into the music scene at the age of five and won the competition for children song Sladkopoina Chuchuliga. His first solo was released on a vinyl by the Bulgarian record company Balkanton.

Yavor was a member of several bands, switching from the sensuality of his former acappella band “Jazzabell” and the dynamics of the pop-funk group “Kaffe” to the color of sound of “Jailhouse Chili”. The uniqueness of Yavor’s musical style and the experience he has in almost all the contemporary styles ensures that each time there is a cheerful mood in the show.
Yavor performs life with his band, comprising musicians who live for and through music. That set up enjoys a huge success; the band brought the surprising pop rhythms in Romania, when getting on the stage of EUROPAfest, the only festival in Europe which reunites four genres, blues, pop, jazz and classic. The moment Yavor gets on stage, the atmosphere becomes energetic and colorful, like a story sewed with fine pop chords.
Yavor’s songs have the power of enriching the soul and mind, leading people from one state to another in a journey where the unknown and the impossible are put is music textures.
Yavor’s career is moving ahead in the fast lane, preparing surprises for the fans. He is currently working on a duet featuring a female performer.
