It comes as no surprise that in 2018 they were nominated for the Yorkshire gig guides outstanding emerging artist award, and featured in Fred Perry's sound of York. Here at Chalkpit we've been really digging tracks 'D.O.T' and latest release 'Pixar', the tongue-in-cheek attitude reverberates through the tunes, lyrics and instruments. Big things are on the horizon for the York lads, and we hope to catch them on next years festival run"

Formed in 2016, Violet Contours have crafted a unique sound, influenced by the likes of Beatenberg, Little Comets, Kings of Leon and Paul Simon. Hailing from York, England the group has quickly established themselves as a preeminent voice on the Northern circuit with sold out home town gigs a regular occurance.

Since releasing their debut single 'Electric Bodies' in 2017, Violet Contours have been noticed by BBC Introducing Yorkshire with numerous radio plays, and a live session with Jericho Keys. This has helped the band support emerging artists such as Neon Waltz, Glass Mountain, The Howl and the Hum and Wild Front. With more studio time booked for 2019 and a UK tour currently being arranged, 2019 is set to be a year packed full of electrifying shows and innovative new sounds.
