UPBEAT Platform
UPBEAT, the European Showcase Platform for World Music was founded by Budapest-based Hangvető in 2022 to support emerging artists who sing in their own language, connect to their cultural roots and speak to current audiences.
A growing platform of 20 members and 13 associated partners, UPBEAT supported 340 bands and 540 music professionals in its first two years.
The platform launched two awards: the Best New Talent and Future Festival Awards, and strengthens the ethos of sustainability via its network.
UPBEAT is co-funded by the European Union.
