Titilayo Adedokun Quartet / Quintett Titilayo Rachel Adedokun was born in Nashville, Tennessee, USA to parents of Nigerian origin.

A former Miss Ohio and Second Runner-up to Miss America, her talent and experience span different musical genres including Jazz, Blues, Musical Theater and Spirituals. She has been noted by critics everywhere for her versatility and her unparalleled ability to captivate an audience.

An energetic performer who got her start singing in churches and dinner theatres across the US, she lived and performed in Italy for 5 years after graduating from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in Ohio, USA, and then went on to sing title roles in European tours of “Kiss Me Kate”, “Night Fever: The Gala of Film Musicals” and the jazz musical “Ella & Billie”, before moving to Germany, where she currently lives.

Whether she’s enchanting audiences with her one-woman show, 50 Shades of Fairytales, or lending her voice to jazz, blues or her original songs in concert, her performances often showcase her musical diversity with influences ranging from jazz, blues, funk, Yoruba songs (from Nigeria) to songs inspired by her “three little girls”, and always promises to be a musical highlight.

“The range of her repertoire is astounding, but in keeping with Adedokun's extraordinary voice. Her dark depths are full of temperament and smoky coloration: the bluesy vocal range of the jazz singer, which full of fervor starts big notes from below. The middle register (...) ranges between almost rock expressiveness and ballad-like emotionality.” (Süddeutsche Zeitung).
