Founded in 2011, on stage since August 2012,
currently in studio.
Thoreau is a quintet based in Würzburg, Germany, founded in 2011. In principle, we are not fond of terminology in music. Giving it a try for the sake of pragmatism, one could describe it as a mixture of Doomcore and Post-Rock. A high diversity in individual influences as well as an open-minded attitude towards artistic crossng over is what shaped our way of making music, hoping that none of our upcoming releases will sound like the other.
