TAPI echoes the contemporary India and its new gods & demons: urban life, money, lost roots, alienation, etc… and the challenges faced by the common man in a modern world.
TAPI's music is woven like a fabric, organically grown on Yogi’s poetries. Through Swati's powerful and sensuous voice , the lyrics are coming alive, swallowing us in an ocean of emotions, singing stories about rivers, cramped up life, lost values, and in essence, the universal search for the self .
The group’s sound is a mix of funk and folk on a hypnotic contemporary tribal groove.
This year, on bigger stages, TAPI plans to bring along musicians and friends to enrich the texture of its sound.
This year, TAPI celebrates over 15 years of artistic life during which the group toured in Europe, Asia, Japan, and India. TAPI has produced and released four albums in Hindi, Urdu and English.
Starting in 2015,
We have released an album worldwide with two music labels,
performed in India and abroad.
We have had
South Asia tour in 2016,
UK/Europe tour in 2017, 2018 and
Japan tour 2017.
