The name “The Se7en Ei8hts” came about when creating one of the tracks for the EP, which use’s the complex musical time signature 7/8 the use of the time signature was inspiring the band joked that they should name themselves after the time signature and since that day the name has stuck!
The Se7en Ei8ht’s are an eclectic group of musician’s hailing from different parts of the world and currently are based in London. The bands influences & style ranges from Jazz, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, and RnB just to name a few.
Their debut EP "The Things We Never Say" is a warm, colourful , smooth and very soulful collection of tracks. The soulful vocals of lead singer Amy Fitz Doyley, and the memorable melodies that flow together take the listener on a musical journey unlike no other!
This band is definitely what the UK's Jazz and Soul scene have been missing and The Se7en Ei8ht's are set to be a sure-fire hit!!
