The Rivers Short Info

The Rivers are a duo from Busby on the southern side of Glasgow. Hyperkinetic drums and piercing melodies are placed over prominent pounding guitar lines. The duo are self proclaimed ‘Country Grunge’ and their root influences are laced throughout their tracks.
The two met late 2014 having been through the music-mill in different guises. Their love for loud energetic music connected them instantly and The Rivers are the result. They played their first gig after two months and continue on the road to spread their tunes!
They released their debut single ‘Silver Rose’ at the end of 2015. The Rivers next single ‘9 Miles High’ has been featured by FatCat Records on their demo site and it has been racking up air play and reviews from all over the world. Both tracks are thumping four to the floor blues smashers!
Over the course of the year the duo have recorded the tracks that in course will become the debut LP. All tracks have been recorded and mixed with Emily MacLaren at Green Door Studio Glasgow “The best studio in Glasgow” according to them and many who know it.
