In the best possible way, they remind
me of so much brit pop stuff I used to love in the 90’s” - Chris Hawkins, BBC 6
Music
"These Southampton natives are freaking killer! They are really young, and their
energy is contagious" - Kali Bradford (Distiller Music)
“Super cool, West Coast inspired indie-pop meets riff drenched afrobeat” - This
Feeling
Drawing inspiration from the likes of The Strokes, Kings of Leon and The
Libertines, Southampton-based The Manatees infuse relatable lyrics with driving
rhythms and infectious melodies. Their previous single ‘What If’ received support
from Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Steve Lamacq and Chris Hawkins (BBC 6
Music), John Kennedy (Radio X) and Spotify (‘Hot New Bands’, ‘Student Union’).
