The Magnapinna started out as an online collaboration with members spread across the planet in cities such as Tokyo, Brisbane, Berlin, Brighton and The Galapagos Islands. Circumstance brought them together in person in Cork where the four-track ep "Sex Tape" was recorded before the world swallowed them up again and spat ‘em out across the globe.

The next pilgrimage home became permanent and the "Uniform" mini EP was recorded. This was followed by a blitzkrieg of shows up and down the country before recording the first studio release "This Is No Wave" in 2018.
It's here that The Magnapinna found their swagger with five tracks of visceral song writing smothered in tongues, (various) cheeks and everything in between.

This leads up to the band’s first full length recording "Party Rumours". Eleven dynamic tracks, raging riffs ranging across many genres, skanking reggae, pop hooks married with catchy choruses and disco beats.
