The name of the band comes from an Icelandic writer and novelist Sigurjon Birgir Sigursson widely known as Sjón.
Sjón had their first spotlight in UK (Liverpool, London) during British tour. The band performed with one the best-known polish band Myslovitz.
The next success of the group was a gig at Heineken Open‘er Festival 2012 – one of the
main summer music festival in Europe!
Sjón have released a Maxi-single on a white 12” vinyl (January 14).
