Ihre aktuelle CD “Pilots of a New Sky” erreichte bei vielen Musikblogs und
-Zeitschriften Höchstnoten und wurde von laut.de in die TOP-20 der besten Metal-Alben 2012 gewählt - und das, ohne im weitesten Sinne “Metal” zu sein.

Im Gegenteil: die fünf Marburger Musiker Sotirios Kelekidis (Bass, u.a. MORGOTH), Andreas Mette (Gitarre, Keyboards), Sascha Christ (Drums, Samples), Thomas Pitzer (Gitarre) und der Neuzugang Rafael Cano Garcìa
(Gesang, Keys, Percussion) musizieren sich lieber kreuz und quer durch die moderne Musikgeschichte, als sich in eine Schublade pressen zu lassen.

Angefangen 2005 als Punk/Hardcore-Band und einen Haufen Konzerte (u.a. mit Circa Survive, Blackmail, Kilians, Harmful,...) später, ist man heute bei einer Stiloffenheit angelangt, in der Pop, Alternative, Indie, Jazz, Metal, Progrock und Filmmusik eine friedliche Koexistenz miteinander eingehen...
zumindest wenn sie sich nicht gerade einen lautstarken Faustkampf liefern.

This is how Rock Hard Magazine once described SINEW.

Their current CD „Pilots of a New Sky“ got the highest ratings in different musical blogs and magazines and was declared one of the TOP-20 metal albums in 2012 by laut.de – and all this without even being close to „metal“.

Quite the contrary: the five musicians from Marburg (Germany) Sotirios Kelekidis (bass; also a member of MORGOTH), Andreas Mette (guitar/keys), Sascha Christ (drums, samples), Thomas Pitzer (guitar) and the newest member Rafael Cano García (vocals, keys, percussion) prefer roaming the modern musical history to being pegged as a band of one specific genre.

It all started in 2005 as a punk/hardcore band, but SINEW soon developed an openness of musical styles that embraces pop, alternative, indie, jazz, metal, progressive rock and film music, with all genres coexisting peacefully... unless they get into a powerful fistfight...

Currently, the band is working on their 3rd album, which will be released in 2014.
