2005 saw her branching out on her own. Since doing so, Ruby Ann has spent her time living in both the U.S.A (Chicago and New York) and France making her way across the continents as a much sought after solo attraction.
With a tour schedule that's included some of the hottest Rockabilly/Rock & Roll/Country music festivals the EU has to offer, not to mention scores of successful appearances in the United States and Japan as well. All of this has helped to win her an enthusiastic fanbase the world over.
After the release of her first solo offering in 2007 from Los Angeles based WILD Records, "Train To Satanville" , and the follow up release “Mama’s Back” on U.K.’s Rhythm Bomb Records, the chance for those who may not have thus far been lucky enough to catch her appearing live can get a taste of what fans cant seem to get enough of, and promoters are clamoring to book.
Her 3rd solo album "Running Wild" was released in May 2014 and its already a hit.
With a great presence on stage and off, and personality for miles… or kilometers depending on your address, there’s little question why so many have found something to love about Ruby Ann.
This is what Big Sandy had to say about this Rhythm Bomb Records artist:
"There's an age-old adage that the third time's the charm... and with "Running Wild", her third solo release, Ruby Ann has proved just how utterly charming she can be. Continuing a trend of increasingly impressive releases, the Portuguese songstress has really hit her stride on this album. More than on any of her previous offerings, this collection of recordings dramatically showcases Ruby Ann's versatility as a vocalist and displays her talent as an interpreter of songs. Featuring a blend of carefully selected covers and custom written true-to-life originals, "Running Wild" truly has something for everybody and serves as a reminder of why Ruby Ann continues to be one of the most in-demand, top selling artists on the rockin' scene today."
