Wearing her heart on her sleeve, Rikke Normann needs nothing more than a piano to attract your attention, and pierce the heart of the listener with her way of talking about feelings.
There’s a genuine vulnerability in Rikke’s voice which is rare in music today. A great songwriter with quite the vocal range and presence, she’s dynamic and keeps you on your toes, not knowing what comes next. Rumour has it she’s Norway’s best kept musical secret.
Rikke is a complete one-woman-production and DIY artist with enormous creativity and drive. Spending most of her time and money on making music, video’s, designing merch or writing songs, she also runs her own record label “RikkiLeaks” which has released 5 solo albums, she changes hair colour more often than you change socks, collects vintage pianos and has a dog called Gunnar.

In March (2021) Normann released her fifth album “the art of letting go”. Recorded live with her band at a small log cabin in Fefor Guldbrandsdalen, the album received great reviews and radio play both at home and abroad, earning her the reputation as a songwriter and artist to look out for. The album was described as bold and refreshing with it’s raw, unpolished sound and sendt Rikke on a National “living room tour”, playing over 100 gigs in peoples private homes all over Norway, travelling and organizing everything her self.
Her self-penned mini-classics are personal observations and inner monologues. She writes about emotional worries we all have but don’t like to admit, about insecurities, feeling different, and trying to accept who you are, no matter who that is. Musically driven by great songs of all genres, she especially loves Fleetwood Mac and Bon Iver.
Rikke’s is a voice of variation much needed in the world today. Her music is refreshing, serious without being too serious, and playful. Just like Rikke her self. On stage, on tape, in life.

About Rikke Normann, the work horse:
Rikke has been singing for a living for over 10 years now, she’s the Norwegian “go-to voice” and most sought after vocalist/ backup singer in the country, and also a much loved musician and songwriter. She has contributed on countless albums, appeared on numerous television shows (Idol, Dancing with the stars, Eurovision ++) and was handpicked to sing with John Legend at The Nobel Peace Prize concert in 2017. Normann has toured extensively throughout Norway and Europe, playing with artists such as Bernhoft, Madcon, Sivert Høyem, Marcus & Martinus, Alan Walker to mention a few. She hasreleased 5 solo albums, received international attention for her own music all the way down to Brasil, participated in Eurovision, as well as released self-penned music with Norwegian rnb-trio “SiNoRi” and Andreas Ihlebæk.
