They’ve taken a unique approach with a sound that began as an experiment to combine the traditional Blues, with Punk, Metal & Grunge. It has developed into a sort of psychedellic, garage punk-blues that is unlike what anyone else is doing on the scene today.
Their debut record, ‘Vs the Magnificent Creature,’ has been met with critical acclaim, with some calling it a “Refreshing gust of artistic freedom,” and “Odd, but it’s fine.” Insightful and sometiems heartwrenching lyrics vocalized mostly by Kemp rest atop elements from the Blues, Punk and a dash of Psychedelia, with an almost lo-fi edge that cuts to the bone, and when performed live can be enthralling and dizzying on a primal and cerebral level. Timmy Braun, on drums, plays with such an explosive energy, he propels Kemp’s raunchy guitar into the stratosphere. These guys are no neophytes. They’ve been around the block once or twice and have more than a few tricks hidden in their gig bag. “Expect Surprises.”
