Friends since primary school, Micheal Sheil (Guitar and Vocals) and Gearoid Connaughton (Drums) have a wealth of musical experience.

For the last ten years, the two have been honing their separate skills. Micheal, producer and general guitar wizard with Roscommon based ‘We Town Criers’, and Geariod as drummer with ‘Daisy Chopper’, who have performed alongside rock heavyweights like Queens of the Stone Age and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

In 2015, their love of big, fuzzy, noisy riffs brought them together to create Pranks…a minimalist supergroup.

Pranks have had a great year, since releasing their debut self titled EP in June they've played Hard Working Class Heroes and Whelans One's to Watch festivals as well as plenty of headline and support shows in venues throughout the country. Nialler9 named them as 'New Artist of the Week' and Thelastmixedtape.com's readers voted Pranks EP as one of the Top 20 of 2015.

While gaining significant airplay with 'Ghost', they were also interviewed on Radio Nova and popped into Today FM for a live session with Fergal D'Arcy

With 3 brand new singles scheduled for release in the coming months, it's looking like 2016 will be an even bigger year for the band.
