Portmanteau are a hard hitting, horn heavy funk/soul outfit from Leeds.
Made up of some of the finest musicians in the UK the band has made a big impact on the scene with their debut self titled EP. Big original funk with "bright brash brass stabs rippling outward from Tower of Power, while Earth, Wind and Fire tremble appropriately" (The Equal Ground). With follow up EP, Portmanteau Vol. II due for release in 2016, excitement around this group is beginning to grow to fever pitch.
