This process of slow growth and constant evolution has been determined by the collaborative approach that governs Police Squad's writing process. As the band refine and rework each other’s parts the songs become a space for a constant exchange of conflicting ideas and attitudes. This has resulted in a sound which represents Police Squad as a whole, as opposed to the individuality of its members.
Police Squad has come a long way from the embryonic, lo-fi sound of the bands' three piece beginnings. They've grown into a hi-fi four piece and have since accrued much support from promoters around the country, headlining at venues and clubnights including: London's Club Fandango, Manchester's Night and Day Cafe and Sheffield's Death by Shoes.
