Its Not An Accident, Its Love | Single | 2021 |
The four have been friends since they met at their North London primary school and started making a noise in 2018. Their powerful lyrics, stellar vocals and catchy riffs are gaining them a rapidly growing fan base, thanks to edgy, compelling songs that capture the zeitgeist of Gen Z.
The band gained national airplay with their first release, Storm, on Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing Mixtape on 6Music when they were just 14 and 15. Subsequent tracks have gained stellar reviews and radio play, including being chosen as a hot one of the week by John Kennedy on Radio X and making the top 40 on Amazing Radio. Their latest single It's Not An Accident. It's Love was played by Steve Lamacq on his BBC 6Music recommends show.
Polarized Eyes know how to excite a crowd with their explosive live set. At their last gig before the pandemic hit they took the roof off a sold-out house at The Dublin Castle and they got back in action with another sold out gig at The Amersham Arms.
Selected praise for Polarized Eyes’ music:
“160 seconds of authentic lo-fi, high energy punk rock that would have put a smile on the face of their spiritual predecessor Poly Styrene of X-Ray Spex” Tom Robinson, BBC 6Music
"I love the way they take what everyone is feeling and then up the power a hundred times over. And those vocals are amazing – they remind me of The Mysterines, but actually better than The Mysterines.” Karl Johnson, Boogaloo Radio
“This is an exciting time to get in on the ground floor with a band already starting to realise their potential. The future is bright here.” Mind Noise Network
“With a vocal that sonically cleans flesh from bones back by a relentless instrumental canon, this is a loud affirmation that punk has an exciting new generation at its helm.” Podcart
“The authenticity and love for music Polarized Eyes brings is unparalleled.” Rock The Pigeon
“It is hard to imagine three teens making this much power and noise, but that is what Polarized Eyes are best at.” Music for the Misfits
“This track is a Punk Rocker’s dream!” Reignland
“No doubt a band to keep an eye on.” Indie Midlands
