What Matters Most, Mirogoy, Inside My Casket, Dead Fish,...

Ogenj is a Croatian indie folk band founded by Tomislav Mihac Kovačic and Nikola Terzić in 2015, after a long time work in alternative and hard core bands. The music is based on a firm folk sound with elements of world music and alternative rock, while the lyrics, whose author is Tomislav Mihac Kovačic, are all written in north west Croatian dialect. The texts are permeated with themes of love, historical heritage, diligence and cheerful everyday life of Podravina and Međimurje.
The band Ogenj has extremely strong live concert performances which invite the whole audience to interact with its lively songs and hymnic refrains. At the same time, using traditional instruments like the bisernica and the violin, and especially using tunes in dialect sang by the vocal Tomislav, give listeners an insight into the music tradition of this part of Europe.
Ogenj has about 50 concerts a year and so far they have performed all over Coatia and they've had two mini tours abroad to Poland and Slovenia. Besides that, in 2016. the band published an EP with the title „Još je rano“ and a video was recorded for the song Lepa Mara. At the beginning of 2017. another video was recorded for the song Hote hote from the same EP.
In March 2017. Ogenj signed a professional publishing contract with the house Dancing bear from Zagreb and they announced a new album for the second half of the year.
