With wailing vocals, ripping riffs and blood pumping grooves, they deliver dynamic and memorable music with a lot of heart and passion.

Their sound has been described as Melodic Groove-Metal with a flavor of hard rock. Blending the worlds of timeless hard rock and heavy metal with the edge of thrash, groove-metal, and grunge brings a recipe of easily digestible melodic hooks and iconic riffs, all while retaining the honesty and grit of the underground. A great emphasis is put on soul and character in their performance, bringing a genuine quality of rawness, swing and air to their sound that they believe has been somewhat lost in the soundscapes of today’s metal.

Post-pandemic 2021 the band re-emerged on the scene with a leaner and cleaner line-up. With time to explore and reflect, this tight unit has written all new material with a mission to find their own and greatly refining their sound.

In 2019 Murderbird independently released their self-produced debut album, Pillars of Creation.
12 tracks strong, ‘Pillars’ showcases intricate metal riffing, catchy sing-along melodies and a foot-stomping pulse. The self-promoted release was well received and set the stage for more to come.

In the winter of 2023 they entered famous Fascination Street Studios - Studio Gröndahl to record some of their new material. To ensure they'd achieve their desired sound, they enlisted Thomas 'Plec' Johansson (Soilwork, Scar Symmetry, Mustasch, Thundermother), who co-produced, mixed and mastered the tracks.

Murderbird’s music belongs on the stage. With a passionate performance, they take great pride in throwing an honest-to-goodness rock show with a vibrant energy that leaves the audience with sore necks, hoarse throats, and big smiles on their faces.
