Their music usually revolves around progressive rock including elements from other genres such as metal, blues or pop rock, while they’re still trying to find their own sound.
The band is composed of:
- Miloš Maričić (vocals),
- Strahinja Nikić (guitar),
- Luka Kureš (guitar),
- Aleksandar Josipović (drums) and
- Marko Ružić (bass).
The band’s manager and booking agent is Zoran Matić.
The band’s first public performance was at a regionally-acclaimed festival for unsigned demo bands, Demofest 09, where they managed through the semi-finals and into the finals. Later on, MultiCultus earned the 2nd place at Banja Luka Guitar Fest (Banjalučka Gitarijada) in 2017 and then the 1st place in 2018 at the same competition. In 2018 the band won 3rd place at Kuršumlija Guitar Fest (Kuršumlijska Gitarijada).
Most notably, the band’s greatest achievement which earned them a three-day recording session at the professional studio Pavarotti in Mostar: the 1st place at Mostar Guitar Fest (Na Putu za Jug 2018), as well as the awards for the best guitar player and the best vocalist.
So far, the band released two music videos, the first one being for Epilēpsia and the second for Urbanica; songs which are thematically loosely based around the future and the impact of technology on humanity.
The band continues to tour and record in 2019. They are currently working on songs for their debut album which is supposed to be conceptually written. For more info about the band, visit their website: https://multicultus.com/.
