Model Slaves Short Info

Model Slaves - Atomic Winter, Frontier Post-punk

"One of the most promising bands hailing out from the Majorcan scene." - Jorge Martínez, Yo También Soy Indie (23/02/2017)
“Model Slaves, a band with a distinctive post-punk drive and a touch of Morricone western scores." - Pablo Riera, Notodoesindie (12/08/2016)

“Listening is believing -This four piece post-punk act would delight the director of a Martian road movie.” - Yayo Álvarez, Última Hora Mallorca (11/12/2015)

“Model Slaves bring a luscious music body filled with exceptional genre balances of post-punk, indie rock, alternative rock and western rock'n'roll fantastics.” - Tim Forker, Forkster’s Band of the Day (20/02/15)

Hailing out from Majorca (Spain) with their balanced concoction of post-punk, shoegaze, psychedelia and Morricone western scores, Model Slaves are Victor Palacios (vocals, bass), Tolo Fornés (guitar, synth), Agustín Glenny (guitar, backing vocals) and Pep Lluís Palmer (drums).

In summer 2015 Model Slaves recorded their double-single The Giants at Hell's Kitchen Studio (Palma de Mallorca, Spain) with producer Tomeu Janer. Released in June 2016, The Giants is a nightmarish reading of Bradburyesque sci-fi available online on Bandcamp, Spotify and CD Baby.

Model Slaves’ first video was released February 2017 featuring the single The Giants. Majorcan artist Alexandre Coll was granted absolute creative freedom to craft his personal interpretation of the lyrics into a feverish collage animation, which was featured at the Music Video Festival in the Silver Screening Sessions.

Ted Mills, a fan: "I found out about yr band through the site https://dailypsychedelicvideo.com and the amazing collage music video for The Giants. I love that kind of stuff and it just turned out the song was awesome as well. It's kinda like a mix of Tomorrow Never Knows and White Rabbit with Peter Murphy-style vocals, and not many people sing like that these days!
