Recently, he globally released an EP, an instrumentals beat CD, as well as a complete Latin Hip Hop album. The latin lyricist shows no signs of slowing down. With performances and appearances in Miami, Florida and Southern California including Los Angeles and San Diego, this artist is one of the pioneers to begin bridging the gap between the American Hip Hop community and Latin American Spanish music.

Michael Maverick already has several new projects lined up for worldwide release. He’s dropping the first volume of his EDM album series called, ‘The EDM Tapes: Volume One’. It’s been mentioned that the second series of his beat CDs, ‘Intercontinental Instrumentals’, is on the verge of release as well. Michael has also begun working on his next project, which is his next Hip Hop album, and is intended to parallel a more commercial release.

He was born and raised in San Diego, California, but more specifically, Michael Maverick grew up in a heavily Latino populated community called National City. National City has the reputation of being called, “Nasty City”, for its high gang, crime and drug activity. He states that some of his friends have been ‘caught up’ in that activity and, therefore, is trying to ‘come up’ in support of them and the rest of his friends, family, and supporters. Music has always been his outlet and way of pursuing a better life.

At a young age, he taught himself how to play the drums, guitar, bass, and piano out of an immense passion for music. He states that he grew up listening to 90’s rap music and equally being influenced by Latin music which is the signature style of music found in his home town. He later developed his talents to pursue his music career reflecting his Latin origins as well as his love for Hip Hop. His story is unique and he expresses it with a Southern California sound.
