At the age of nineteen, following an invitation to play in Switzerland, he decided to settle down in Europe where he has been working since then not only as a bass-player but as a drummer, composer and arranger as well, at countless studio productions.

He appeared in major festivals and music clubs in Europe, Asia, South Africa and Brazil like Free Jazz São Paulo, Montreux Jazz, Olympia, New Morning and JVC in Paris, Umbria Jazz, Capetown Jazz, Pataya Jazz, Blue Note, Birdland, to name a few, collaborating with outstanding artists such as Luis Eça, Toninho Horta, Phill Collins,Tania Maria, Airto Moreira & Flora Purim, Larry Coryel, Randy Brecker, Sebastiao Tapajos, Raul de Souza, Chico Cesar, Richard Galliano, Gregoire Maret & Gene Lake, Tania Maria, Marcia Maria, Rosinha de Valença Jovino Santos Neto from Hermeto Paschoal) and many others.
