2016 has been a big year for the band with all four songs from their new Absence EP getting national radio play, a packed touring schedule in the UK, their first shows abroad and an attention-grabbing performance at Glastonbury.

In September, Marsicans released the Absence EP, a culmination of the band's 2016 output featuring title track Absence, premiered in the UK by BBC Radio 1 and featured on Apple Music's Best Of The Week playlist, whilst EP track Far Away was showcased on Spotify's New Music Friday playlist and is now featured on their Hot New Bands playlist.

Marsicans played a 17-date UK tour this autumn, their biggest to date, with sold out shows in Leeds, London, Manchester, Sheffield, Lincoln and Edinburgh. New releases and tours in Europe and the UK are planned for 2017.
