Mari Jasca, a rising star among the new generation of Brazilian singers and songwriters, has been captivating audiences with her soulful performances in various formations.

We are thrilled to introduce her and her unique blend of diverse musical influences to you.

Singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, circus artist, actress and producer, she has performed in the streets, metro and halls around the world. Mari Jasca grew up in a small beach town called Búzios, where she studied theater and circus since childhood, which is why she brings to the stage the multiplicity of scenic languages.
Nowadays based in Rio de Janeiro, where she did graduate in music from UNIRIO, and recorded with artist like Jaques Morelenbaum, Bebê Kramer, Gabriel Grossi and others, played in the opening of shows from Alceu Valença, Geraldo Azevedo and has played with important Brazilian artists and is a member of groups such as Tocaia, Orquestra Som em Vento, Forro da Taylor, Carambolas, SudJazz and the musical Novos Baianos.

In her over ten years of musical career, she has undertaken four independent tours throughout Europe with various projects and now she is now gearing up to release her much-anticipated debut album, set for release in February 2024.

Her musical tapestry draws from her dual nationality (Brazilian, daughter of an Argentine) and encompasses a fusion of traditional and contemporary Latin American sounds, Brazilian forró, and the soulful essence of Spanish music.

With a voice that exudes both sweetness and strength, Mari Jasca's charisma shines through on stage, creating an undeniable connection with her audience. Her performances are an artful amalgamation of Gilberto Gil, Dominguinhos, Piazzolla, Buena Vista, Luiz Gonzaga, Jorge Drexler, Kali Uchis and Silva Perez Cruz.

The enchanting sounds of traditional instruments like the charango, guitar, percussion, and accordion transport listeners to the heart of Latin American rhythms such as milonga, creole orchestras, and boleros. Interwoven with these, modern elements like synths, electric bass, drums, and feel programmed beats bring fresh dynamism.
Mari Jasca's Spanish and Romanian heritage add yet another layer of depth to her performances, with the haunting echoes of flamenco and bulerias resonating in her guitar and voice. These captivating moments evoke the spirit of renowned artists like Buika and Silvia Perez Cruz.

Noteworthy is Mari's strong connection to the treasured tradition of forró, which has been a constant source of inspiration throughout her musical journey. Her compositions, such as "Ladeira do Castro," "Istambul," and "Amor Maré," pay homage to the legends of forró like Gonzaga, Dominguinhos, and Marinês while infusing modern elements like electric guitar, synths, and Bahian percussion, adding a contemporary flair to this cherished genre.
In its full formation, the band that plays in Mari's show is composed of a team of five outstanding musicians.
