His keen interest in music started from quite an early age – he started playing the accordion at 5! At six he got his first award: he won the young talents’ competition of the National Cultural Club. Soon he changed the accordion with a trumpet, but not for long, because he discovered his lifelong love for drums.

His keen interest in music started from quite an early age – he started playing the accordion at 5! At six he got his first award: he won the young talents’ competition of the National Cultural Club. Soon he changed the accordion with a trumpet, but not for long, because he discovered his lifelong love for drums. He was a private student of Petar Tsankov for several years and later graduated the Bulgarian Music Academy with subject percussion instruments.

Luciano started his professional career as a drummer of Formula Band with vocalist Margarita Hranova, one of the greatest stars of Bulgarian pop music of the 80s and 90s. His talent did not remain unseen, so he got plenty of opportunities to play both in Bulgaria and abroad. After Formula Band he played with other world-popular stars like Lily Ivanova, Kichka Bodurova, Stefka Berova and Jordan Marchinkov and many more. His performances abroad were also numerous and successful. Some of the places he performed in are Scandinavia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Cuba and in the last few years – Greece, where took part in the Sound-Mix Show of the Alfa national TV channel. In the competition for artistic imitation of world-famous musicians he got the first prize for his incredible imitation of Louis Armstrong (which you can see in the demo video). His work in Greece connects Luciano to famous Greek showbiz names like Yorgos Mazonakis, Despina Vandi and Ana Vissi, with whom he performed and orchestrated all over the country and abroad, playing in places like Albert Hall and the Opera House in Sydney, Australia. Currently Luciano’s ambition is to succeed as a solo Showman in Bulgaria and abroad.
But drumming stays always his favorite game of heart.
