KOSZIKA is rooted in Hungarian, Romanian, and Gypsy music - the music of the three ethnic groups sharing the land of Transylvania. The duo will showcase the rich musical tapestry of their multicultural homeland in a concert entitled Transylvanian Tales, bravely fusioning geographically distant styles and genres such as traditional folclore, jazz, neo soul, reggae, bossa nova, weaving them together into a borderless, post-genre music. The experience is more than just a concert: it is a blanket of folclore inspired and original songs and stories that will wrap the audience in a warm hug. Thousand year old shamanic vibrations mixed with modern, electrically eclectic sound, but with a touch of nostalgia. Somewhere in between the forest and the city, East and West, acoustic and electric. Urban Folk or Village Pop.
KOSZIKA plays in a variety of lineups: as a duo with guitarist Szász Csaba, backed by a 5 piece band called zeng, and as well as an 8 piece band called Koszika & The HotShots
