In the 5 years since Kingdom Lost released their first album ‘Desire Lines’, the Salfordian teaming of Nick Bolan (left) and Chris Mather has been firmly tested. From life threatening illness and broken bones to awol musicians and PC’s blown. This however, only inspired their second album, ‘The Crucible of KL’ - a situation of severe trial, in which different elements interact, leading to the creation of something new. Enlisting drummer Jake Ryder, formally of Suzuki Method and Happy Mondays and vocalist Claire Palmer, the group plan to tour and promote throughout the Winter of 2017 showcasing their 2nd offering.
With influences ranging from Black Sabbath and Radiohead to Stevie Wonder and Sonic Youth, KL’s style is diverse. The singles to be released reflect this, ‘Lull’ an alt. disco funk floor filler jibing at the message brought by modern pop music. Also, ‘Shudder’(mastered by Stuart Hawkes who’s worked with Amy Wineshouse, Chase & Status and many more);a dark projection of the Terror attacks that once again landed on their doorsteps.
