Giulio "Julyo" D'agostino (born in Genoa, Italy) is an Italian guitarist, mandolin player, songwriter, producer and bass player of Italian origin who has several International Awards for his film scoring work.
Julyo music is a fusion of Italian folk music, Irish trad and Mediterranean rythms a musical journey in what he describes as "la ricerca della musica assoluta" (the quest for a universal musical language).. His main influences includes Paco de Lucia, Al di Meola, Yamandu Costa, Pierre Bensusan and Rodrigo y Gabriela.
Julyo has performed with Armando Corsi (Paco de Lucia, Ivano Fossati), Mark Mangold (Cher, Michael Bolton), Mike Mangini (Steve Vai, Extreme), Keith Patchel (Johnny Thunders, Television), and Laurence Gartel (Andy Wharol, Coca Cola).
