The aim of the mission: powerful rock songs
with rich riffs, epic solos, and catchy choruses. As well as plenty of good vibes on stage which are able to transmit that energy to the audience. The Lyrics by J2IO are about fast cars, wicked girls, broken hearts and the thrilling life of a rocker. All the songs are original material written by the gifted songwriters, whose work remind of Arena Rock Artists, but simultaneously creates and encourages a bad-ass and modern sound that they call “Nu Rock“. The iO in the band’s name refers to Jupiter’s moon Io, which unleashes a vast amount of energy because of its volcanism - and that’s the way JOURNEY TO iO want it: Energetic and fast “Nu Rock“ - that invites to their journey.

In the summer of 2018, the four rockers released their first demo called “Hellcat“. The single was produced at the same time the band made it to the finals of Austria’s biggest band contest (Planet Festival Tour).

With "Get Ready" JOURNEY TO iO represent their debut album, which was only released digitally. Since then, “GET READY has been streamed more than 124,000 times on Spotify.
