Krawietz (1981, Tenerife), writes songs where blues and rock go hand in hand with glitches and beatboxes. In his repertoire, synthetic ballads that sound like dream landscapes coexist with nervous electric discharges that aim directly to your feet and spit syllables like a rapper. His performances are a cocktail of old and new waves. Stealing from lots of sources without pigeonholing himself, his music has the effect of a hurricane – all jumps, energy, and quirky dances.
Krawietz was born in Tenerife, Spain, in 1981 and started playing guitar and bass at the age of 14. He's played in many bands: punk, pop, blues, postrock, indietronica...
In 2006 he moved to Berlin, where he works as a journalist and writer and continues to explore new sounds and constellations.
