His early musical years saw him play in bands in the Glasgow music scene, honing his craft and gaining valuable experience playing venues such as ABC1, King Tut's and the Barrowlands.
Since then, Jamie has toured up and down the country, from the Isle of Skye to Liverpool's iconic Cavern Club. Support slots with Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Fratellis, Mark Morris, John Power and Shed 7 - just to name a few - have ensured Jamie has shared the stage with some of Britain’s finest musicians.
Throughout his career Jamie has garnered media attention including numerous favourable single and EP reviews from national newspapers, radio airplay from BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio Scotland, and many more.
2019 saw the release of Jamie's debut solo single 'Afterglow', a well-received melodic track which was the start of a successful first year. A sold-out headline show at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, followed by sold out support slots and a second single release, 'On the Street Where My Heart Used to Beat' topped off an extremely positive debut year.
2020 saw the release of the catchy 'See the Cinema' and whilst live touring plans had to be cancelled, the year ended in a bang with the November release of acclaimed hit single Flashbang, which reached no.3 in the iTunes chart and caught the attention of reviewers and radio stations across the country.

NEW SINGLE PRESS RELEASE
'Told You Things' is the second single from Jamie Button's forthcoming EP, following on from the iTunes no.3 chart hit 'Flashbang' released at the tail-end of 2020.
The melodic track, written on an acoustic guitar, makes full use of Button's live band, featuring uplifting violins, crashing drums and trademark epic sing-a-long chorus.
'Told You Things' explores the uncertainty surrounding a relationship break up and how best friends can help with the process of starting afresh.
Recorded in Paisley at Jamie McGrory's (Bay City Rollers) studio JJ Recordings, 'Told You Things' features recent iTunes No.1 artist Scott Forsyth on drums and guitars whilst Gordon Burn (bass), Gary Hornsby (lead guitar) and Roo Geddes (violin) complete the record. The song was produced by Glasgow-based Ross Hamilton (Texas, Saint PHNX, Seafret).
