An engaging story teller with a range of serious and comic material, Metcalfe suffuses dark stories of loss and betrayal with tales of a frustrated motorist’s brush with a speed camera or a guilty altar boy’s conflict between attending the Good Friday service and watching his beloved Blackburn Rovers.
David appeared at The Edinburgh Fringe festival for several summers and he has opened for Peggy Seeger and Sam Lee.
