Hix Boson was beamt to the planet Earth in order to transform turntable and mixer into a tone-tool, by means of virtuos playing techniques. The turntable doesn't remain just a simple playback device here but turns into a musical instrument thru which you can generate extraterrestrial sounds.    
 
During those spectacular live showcase the mix & scratch techniques will be performed which can usually be seen @ DJ World Championships only and that are quite new for the acoustics of electronic dance music.  Hix Boson combines those type of scratch sounds together with electronic beatz/raps resulting in a musical symbiose named by him Ghetto Electro.

Der Turntable ist hierbei nicht nur ein Abspielgerät sondern wird zum Musikinstrument durch welches außerirdische Klänge generiert werden können.

In dieser spektakulären Live Performance werden Mix und Scratch Techniken dargeboten die man sonst nur auf DJ Weltmeisterschaften sieht und für die Akustik der elektronischen Tanzmusik neu sind. Diese Sounds kombiniert das Hix Boson mit fetten elektronischen Beatz/Rapz und schafft daraus eine Symbiose die als Ghetto Electro bezeichnet wird.

Concealed behind the art figure of Hix Boson it is Alexander Sonnenfeld who is probably better known as a developer of the S-Notation, a written notation model that covers all manual motions of a turntablist's instrument through the systematic representation of notation symbols.

Alex's work on S-Notation spanned 14 years, some of which he remained in ongoing exchange with the composer Professor Karlheinz Stockhausen (1928-2007). Stockhausen is considered to be one of the most important music scientists of the 20th century for his work in electronic music, aleatory in serial composition and musical spatialization. Sonnenfeld developed his S-Notation into the thesis Bewegungslehre, a scientific music analysis of turntablism that is currently under review with various music scientists in Germany. His goal is to make turntable- and mixer-based music theory an accepted musical art form.

Since 2012 Alex has had a big priviledge as an european turntablism artist to work for the renowned Qbert Skratch University in San Francisco as a Guest Professor. Furthermore, he became an official Stanton and Ortofon Artist and has been gathering additional experience as an support DJ for Wu-Tang-Clan, The Pharcyde, Paul Kalkbrenner, Bushido, Sido and many other artists. He gave 7 shows in 2 days for Stanton and Gibson during this year's Frankfurter Musikmesse in March 2014.

Hinter der Kunstfigur Hix Boson verbirgt sich Alexander Sonnenfeld der in der Szene durch die Entwicklung einer Musiknotation für Scratching weltweit bekannt wurde und sogar den Erfinder der elektronischen Musik (Prof. Karlheinz Stockhausen 1928-2007) für sich gewinnen konnte. 2011 veröffentlichte Sonnenfeld ein Buch über diese Musiktheorie und legte somit den wissenschaftlichen Grundstein um die Kunst des Turntablism/DJing als neuzeitliche Tonkunst zu legitimieren.

Seit 2012 arbeitet er offiziell als Guest Professor für die wohl renommierteste DJ Schule der Welt - die Qbert Skratch University in San Francisco. Dies ist eine besonders große Ehre welche bisher keinem anderen externen DJ zuteil wurde. Alex ist außerdem offizieller Ortofon & Stanton Artist und sammelte als Support für den Wu-Tang-Clan, Paul Kalkbrenner, Bushido, Thomas Schumacher, Kool Savas, Sido und anderen Größen schon eine Menge Live-Erfahrung.

2014 spielte der Berliner Performance Künstler bei der Frankfurter Musikmesse 7 Shows in 2 Tagen unter anderem für Stanton (amerikanischen Hersteller von DJ Equipment) und Gibson (Gitarrenhersteller).
