Hayley Gaftarnick, is an independent singer/song-writer/guitarist from Leeds. Her husky and powerful voice tells honest and frank stories of a road well travelled. Whilst being inspired by some of the great names of soul and blues, such as Otis Reading, Donny Hathaway, Etta James and Aretha Franklin, Gaftarnick manages to create a sound that is both familiar and yet truly unique.
Hayley is also in two bands Called The Sea Whores - Junkyard Skiffle/Folk/Blues Band with their blend of mystery , murder ballads, doomed love songs and raw sexual insight...a heady musical mix of country blues junkyard skiffle, Tea chest bass, steel guitar,banjo & violin with gruff & soulful vocals in equal measure. Brooding atmosphere, dark humour and whirl wind kinetic energy. This rusty old fairground ride will shake your bones and light up the night!
