Returning back home from London Anina Trobec created the band Generator along with her english boyfriend, her mother’s husband, his friend, the friend’s son, three guys called Turk, and a guy from Amsterdam. Founded on World youth day 25th May 2016, the band formed in the autonomous cultural zone Sokolc in Novo Mesto. They have been generating sparks ever since. Dancing rhythms with punchy brass and hooks that won’t stay out of your head. Truly original in style, drawing from a rich and varied range of influences, combining elements of jazz into groove with the strong pulse of reggae, a tinge of balkan, punk and electronic. A strong character emerges with a unique cryptic lyrical expression, dipped in bitter-sweet melodies to contrast the manly groove. It’s hard to find a comparison. Theatrical, intriguing, seeing is believing.
