1971 | Album | 2017 |
Rythmically carried by drums in a pure Led Zeppelin’s style, a bass guitar that could be compared to Kyuss, a hendrixian guitar and a vintage lyricism’s lead vocal, Fuzzy Grass build an universe that blends the psychedelic energies from the 70’s and the power of stoner-rock.
If it’s in the rehearsal studio that the band experiments, it’s definitely on stage where they truly galvanize ! Always offering new versions of their songs, halfway between songwriting and improvising, those 4 musicians evolved through the years in a perfect symbiosis.
After three years of live concerts, it’s in 2018 that the band released their first album «1971» and travelled across france to promote it. 1971 is the spirit of live concerts recorded on tapes !
After a two week european tour, it was time for them to write songs. Pushed by the desire of going into 70’s
aesthetic in depth, it's the progressive aspect that the band decided to look for. Always starting with a jam,
always reaching for the right riff, the right groove, the right scream but this time with a richer and more
complex approach...
Once they were highly experienced to those new songs live, they had to record them. Studio de la Trappe, near
Toulouse (fr.) with its vintage analogic equipments seems to be obvious. guided by Triboulet, the house-keeper,
«The Revenge of the Blue Nut» was recorded in autumn 2019 surrounded by the warmth of tubes amp and the
grain of recording tapes.
Like their music, the band is reinterpreting 70’s graphic codes - prolific and colorful, sometimes kitschy and
always psychedelic - within the 21st century spectrum. With that artwork - a sureallistic collage filled with
nods to some of the bands most aventurous anecdots collected on the road - and with the «Insight» video
clip, shot on a low-budget green screen, Fuzzy Grass wants to carry that 70’s legacy towards new horizons,
with a touch of humor and self-mockery.
After the lockdowns and live concerts stop, the band is ready to release their second album in 2023,
determined to take their revenge wherever the flame of rock’n’roll will be ready to be lit once again !
Those two years also allowed the band to compose what will be their third album ! Adding a new instrument,
the organ - now played by Audric in addition of the lead vocal and his cosmic machines - those new songs will
be more progressive and explosive than ever !
Enough to provide a new setlist full of surprise for 2023 !
