Dave Rudge is a singer songwriter from Birmingham who learned his craft in the Cornwall music scene.
After meeting a Scottish lass, a few years in Nottingham and roaming round the globe he moved to the Highlands.
He then stole a ready made rhythm section, brothers Richard and Martin Bell, from a fledgling covers band on the condition that Martin took up the double bass.
Ernest Rambles was formed.
