It's a place where nature rules. It's where the winter is cold and magical. It's where the music of the Russian-Tartarian artist Eleonora originates from. In 2007 Eleonora Zaripova unexpectedly relocated to Berlin where she, equipped with classical music education and jazz-experience, also started to explore the possibilities of electronical music. In 2017 she finally released her first EP „Thousand Thoughts“ together with two remixes by Sei A and Will & Held at Stem Records / Kompakt Records. The EP had great success and was played by XLR8R and by B. Traits at BBC Radio 1.
Since her first release Eleonora put out new material during the whole year and also worked on various collaborations. Besides the chill-out Collaboration „Silky Wave“ (Sine Records), the „With You Here EP “ at Be Free Recordings and the „Confess EP“ at Disorder Records where two outstanding releases. Eleonora is constantly working with different artists such as Andrea Crestani, Lunar Plane, Bigasti, Matiryaloka, Moonlik and Vlad Jet to name a few. On October 2017 she released her first full length album „The Ghost“, including eight tracks. Faze Mag, Flux FM, Fritz Unsigned, Electrozombies and Gordeon Promotion reviewed on her convincing debut.
The various releases of Eleonora were accompanied by her intense live performances. She played the Berlin Fashion Week 2016/17 by Steinrohrer as Laneout. Under the name Eleonora she played inter alia at the Tropen Tango festival in Lorch, at the Karneval der Kulturen and the Ruberoid festival in Berlin, at the Gängeviertel in Hamburg etc.. As a support act she played for such names as Tender, Lydmor & Bon homme, Vita and the Woolf to just name a few. In 20017 Eleonora joined Steam Publishing / IMAGEM Music and is since then managed by Andrew Campbell (Steam Music & Gordon).
Eleonoras music is an unexpected mixture. It's a merging of painful experiences and emotional events. The music creates a space where all boundaries melt. Where classic piano passages and hard basses collide. Where smart beats meet a tender voice. Call it trip hop, Electronica or Downtempo, but her music eludes stereotyped categorizations. But you can feel this music. It's the music to experience, to contemplate and to empathize. It's melancholy, it's tension, it's strength, it's fragility and soul.
Since 2018 Eleonora is joined by Mattia Bellotti on drums. Bellotti, who originates from the city of Modena in the north of Italy, was cast up to Berlin after his musical education at the jazz conservatory in the city of Ferrara. Arrived in Berlin the passionated jazz drummer and live/studio engineer soon also found his love for electronical music, which he first revered within the jazz/live electronic project „Niodel“. In the collaboration with Eleonora, his passion for electronical music now gets its ultimate manifestation.
