Her songs soothe the soul and welcome a moment of calm and freedom from the chaos of the world. Dorothy's songs present haunting atmospheres, a blend of electronic and acoustic instruments and captivating beats, alongside beautifully pure vocals that softly and melodically whisper poetic references on life.
Already compared to Beth Gibbons and Kate Bush, Dorothy Bird’s sound is unique and “characteristically individual” – Neil March, Fresh on the Net. With ringing endorsements from BBC Introducing, Tom Robinson’s Fresh On The Net & BBC6music Mixtape and Mersey Radio, the Berlin and Liverpool-based Art-Pop singer-songwriter released four solo EPs and an album. The first release from the forthcoming second album is on Nov 1st 2024. The 2nd album will be released in spring 2025.
