Conceived in a cramped, sweaty bedroom one hot summer's night in Montreal, it wasn't long before the band recorded and released an EP of their early material. Two summers ago, the group returned to Toronto to bring their sludgy, psych-grunge sound back to their hometown; gaining momentum in the city's thriving scene. In September 2013, Dirty Frigs contributed to a split EP with Toronto psych-rockers SPECTRE, and in November 2014 released a self-titled EP via Heretical Objects Cooperative of fresh tunes that reveal the band's transition to darker territories. Currently, Dirty Frigs continue to explore and develop their sound as they work on a batch of new recordings slated for release next spring.
