The band's name evokes both our hyper-connected world and a certain absurdity, with the aim of stirring up crowds and getting them hooked on the backdrop of peppy Electro Rock, through dynamic verses with a US Rap tinge and Pop choruses.

Initially a duo, the project came to life in 2017 on the Reflektor stage following the 1ères Scènes de la province de Liège competition and coaching from Michaël Larivière.

After two consecutive years on the road, Digital Donkeys released their debut album “Soul banger” at the end of 2021, a reference to the bear banger, a noisy device designed to warn bears of man's presence. Here, it's souls that need to be warned, as Digital Donkeys bring a wake-up call to a certain humanity that's falling asleep on its own complacency and the certainty that nothing can happen to it.

After touring their first album, Digital Donkeys released their “Alpha Instinct” EP in 2024, adding a drummer to energize their live performances. This was followed by video clips, a residency at the Centre Culturel de Verviers coached by David de Froidmont (Malibu Stacy), a live appearance on MaTélé's Showcase and Qu4tre's Ça part en live, an appearance on Classic 21's Underground and a release party at Primitive Music.
