The texts are engaged and strongly inspired by the Tunisian revolution experienced by Mehdi Elhamdi.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Mehdi ELHAMDI
Originally from northwestern Tunisia 175 kilometers west of Tunis. Mehdi grew up in Kef (Arabic: الكاف ).
Surrounded by the warm presence of her maternal grandmother who will mark his childhood, and his many uncles and aunts. He will then draw from the land of his origins to collect his essence and build his world that will only ask to emerge from silence.
Blocked by his shyness, he took refuge at the age of 13, in poetry and writing. His musical career begins with his first appearance with the artist Yesser Jradi, who will allow him to go on stage for the first time at the House of Culture of Jandouba.
January 2011: Mehdi, eager for music, freedom, life and change, took an active part in the demonstrations where he denounced the lead hat that prevents a whole people from expressing themselves. It was in this effervescent context that he found the impetus and courage to dare to launch.
Self-taught, he continues and deepens his learning of the guitar.
November 2012, created his own group: 'ZoNe'Art'. This strong experience led to the realization of several national and international shows including the two editions of the World Social Forum in Tunisia, the Mediterranean Forum organized by the French Institute of Tunis and also the participation in France at the Quai de Jeunes Festival in Amiens.
In 2015, Mehdi Elhamdi begins a new artistic experience, a duo with the artist Achref Adhadhi, director and actor, for the creation of a musical comedy entitled "Né" and which means "Me".
In 2016 Mehdi left Tunisia to join the Institut Musical de Formation Professionnelle de Salon de Provence.
In December 2016, he created the group «Da Goum Projekt».
The musical style is a journey between the sounds of the Maghreb and the Musiques du monde and urban according to a jazz interpretation.
The texts are inspired by the experience of the Tunisian revolt of 2011 that Mehdi lived from within, which explains the strong presence of the Tunisian dialect in his songs.
Their first album titled «GOUM» (which in Tunisian means «Get Up»), is a musical journey without visa, at once calm and agitated, hovering and impactful, simple and complex, which transports the listener on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
