The founding members were Darth Phader and Riitta Leivo. They explored the intersection of Jazz and electronic dance music, and were then joined by Joachim Fomin, a conscious hip-hop poet. The trio was expanded to a quartet with world-reknowed trumpetist Mika Mylläri from MQM, and then to a quintet with pianist Tuula Pulkki joining.

The sound of Cosmic Soul Colletive is a modern blend of electronic and jazz influences geared toward dance audiences. Electronic rhythms of Darth Phader are joined by soul & jazz vocals, classical and jazz piano, avant-garde trumpet & hard-hitting lyrical flow of rhythmically accented poetry.

The collective keeps on expanding. New and featuring members may or may not be coming to a gig near you!
