With a passion for vintage instruments- and studio equipment Cleemann has created a unique solo project focused on the self-exploration of man. Playing with the ambiguities plaguing humanity itself, there is a song quite literally for any mood, with song titles reflecting the vast range of human emotion including “Ambitious”, “Righteous”, “Indifferent,” “Stupid,” and “Generous.”
His solo projects "45 Minutes Mostly About Caring” (2009) and “Different” (2012), are part of a planned trilogy dealing with universal issues in a very personal way. With the nakedness of his voice against the backdrop of his sensual songs, each song display human emotions we inevitably know, accept, or conquer throughout our lifetime, representing personality-aspects in a manner of deep humanity.
Quite unlike most contemporary radio jingles, the albums grab for your attention with discreet, airy and sparse arrangements, establishing a brittle balance between delicate electronics and acoustic instruments. Vocals are left almost unprocessed in a natural fragility. As an audience you're eavesdropping on something extremely intimate.
CLEEMANN adapts his live delivery depending on the situation to create a one-of-a-kind performance that can’t be recreated. Rich in emotion and littered with contradiction, his shows are vital, appealing and never the same twice.
