Für klangliche Abwechslung sorgen Ukulele, Mandoline, Mundharmonika und Tamburin, welche neben dem Banjo zum Einsatz kommen. Alex und Moritz erzählen in ihren Songs vom Leben in der Großstadt, von der Liebe und von der Bedeutung, sich selbst treu zu bleiben. Man merkt den beiden an, dass sie gerne rumphilosophieren und ihre Texte mit Bedacht schreiben. Blue Saloon are a Folk-Singer-Songwriter duo from Berlin. The duo consists of two good friends and musical soulmates who had originally met each other during their Psychology studies. Both share a great passion for Folk and Rock music of the 60‘s and 70’s which contributes to their in two voices singing and distinctive banjo sound. Apart from the banjo, ukulele, mandolin, harmonica and tambourine add diversity to their folky repertoire. Alex and Moritz, who both write the words, tell stories about big city life, love and the importance of staying true to oneself, for instance. You notice about them that they like to ruminate and work on their lyrics carefully. The result is a well-thought-out mix causing a good mood as well as some melancholy.
