Musician, songwriter and producer, Melu, 24, signed his first publishing deal at 18, since then his appetite for marrying elements of pop, blues and jazz with electronic soundscapes extends his ambitions beyond forging collaborations with other artists as songwriter, producer or studio musician.
Upon discovering blues, he naturally gravitated to jazz and complex electronic music whilst continuing his love of pop toplines. The sonic consequence of his music making approach ensures listeners experience something beautiful and unique. With an insight into Melu’s internal world, they can begin to experience a fresh perspective of their own.
Identity and heritage weighs heavily on Melu’s music where a duality of unpredictability and inability to exist in two defined nationalities deafens his live shows, which vary from larger than life productions to small intimate gigs performing only with a guitar or keyboard.
Both a Luxembourgish & British national, home sickness whilst studying music in the UK informed his alias and stage name, an abbreviation of the european folklore, Melusine. Like Melusine, he hides a something within his music, writing what he hears and what he would like to hear.
