Originally from a small beach town in Florida, Anie grew up listening to The Beach Boys. Half Cuban, she was exposed to latin music at an early age. Studying classical voice in college she learned to appreciate jazz and opera. Though inspired by music from every far reach of the genre spectrum, one thing remained constant for Anie: storytelling. All of these influences dance together in the intricacies of her music.
Anie Delgado joined the experimental rock band Dr. Medicine as their lead singer in late 2015. With Dr. Medicine she released the EP Forged Prescriptions and played at various NYC venues including headlining on The Bowery Electric’s mainstage. She left the band in early 2017 to work on her solo project full time. Anie released her debut solo single “Average Joe” in late July along with a music video for the song. Anie is currently working with producer Poppin on several singles and her debut EP expected Winter 2017. Her next single “Say It” is set to be released on September 26th.
